Whitman Coin Show, Atlanta, June 17 - 19

Atlanta, GA June 6, 2004--Whitman Publishing, the leading publisher of high quality reference materials and collectible supplies for the coin and stamp collecting industries, will have a special exhibit featuring 25 of America's most valuable coins. The value of the exhibit will be over FIVE MILLION DOLLARS and they will be on display at the Whitman Coin & Collectibles Expo June 17 – 19 at the Cobb Galleria Centre in Atlanta. Show hours are 10 AM – 6 PM each day and admission is free to the general public.

Just a sample of the coins to be on display:

The Fabulous 1907 $20 gold double-eagle - This coin was produced at the specific request of Theodore Roosevelt and the value is well over a million dollars.

The 1792 silver half DISME – Before the word "dime" was used – a rare and valuable coin made from silver provided by President George Washington, to create the first U.S. federal coin.

The incredible $4 gold "Stella." – Fewer than 20 exist in the entire world! At one time the idea of a four dollar gold piece seemed reasonable, but the venture was realized as being impractical and dropped.

The show will also feature over 150 coin dealers from across the United States, seminars by industry leaders, a children's activity corner and the release of The Official Red Book: A Guide Book of U.S. Coins 2005.
